New Rush Hall School welcomed an out-of-this-world visitor, The Explorer Space Dome, an immersive and interactive experience that took our Primary, Year 7 and Year 8 pupils on a thrilling journey through the cosmos.
The day was filled with excitement as pupils entered the inflatable dome, set up in our sports hall, and were instantly transported to the far reaches of space. Inside the 360° environment, students were guided through a mesmerising visual tour of our solar system, learning about planets, stars, black holes, and the possibility of life beyond Earth.
The sessions were perfectly tailored to suit each age group. Everyone from our youngest explorers to our curious KS3 pupils had the opportunity to be amazed and inspired. Pupils laid back in wonder as they watched planets orbit, meteor showers streak across the sky, and astronauts float through the International Space Station.
Our Primary pupils were equally enthusiastic, engaging with the content through stories, fun facts, and stunning visuals that sparked their imaginations and led to some great classroom discussions afterwards.
The Space Dome didn’t just bring science to life, it inspired curiosity, creativity, and a genuine enthusiasm for learning about the universe. It was a powerful reminder of how hands-on, immersive experiences can ignite passion and understanding in ways that textbooks alone cannot.
