Pupils from 10.1 and 10.3 enjoyed a fantastic trip to Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park. From the moment we arrived, pupils were excited by the bright lights, festive music and huge variety of things to see and do. The whole experience gave pupils a wonderful opportunity to soak up the seasonal atmosphere and explore a part of London many had never visited before.
As we made our way through the park, pupils browsed the colourful Christmas stalls, tried different festive treats and spent time looking at the unique gifts, decorations and games on offer. For many, simply being in such a large, busy environment was a new experience and our pupils handled themselves brilliantly.
One of the biggest highlights of the day was taking on Winter Wonderland’s top five scariest rides. A number of pupils showed incredible bravery by completing all five, others chose to try one or two, showing great courage by all, even when the rides looked a little daunting. Staff were extremely proud of the way pupils supported one another.
After plenty of fun (and a fair few screams!), we ended the visit with a warm, comforting meal at the Jingle Bell Bistro. This was a lovely chance for pupils to unwind, talk about their favourite moments from the day and enjoy some time together in a relaxed setting.
The trip was a huge success, with pupils showing maturity, great behaviour and a real sense of enjoyment throughout. One student said it was “the best day I’ve had at New Rush Hall School so far,” which perfectly sums up the positive atmosphere of the whole experience.
A wonderful day out and a big well done to everyone involved, pupils and staff alike made it a trip to remember!
