Our Year 8 pupils visited the London Dungeons for their Sinister Stories experience. On the walk to the Dungeons from the tube station, they enjoyed seeing some of central London’s well-known sights, including the London Eye and Waterloo Station.
Inside the London Dungeons, pupils explored recreated Victorian streets, complete with atmospheric lighting, sounds and scents that helped bring the past to life. They learned about the Gunpowder Plot, encountered the story of Jack the Ripper and saw the tale of Sweeney Todd presented through engaging performances.
One pupil said: ‘This was one of my favourite trips, the special effects were amazing, the atmosphere was spooky and I had a great time trying to frighten my friends.’
The visit ended with the popular drop ride, which delivered plenty of excitement. Pupils loved the interactive elements throughout the day, and the group rounded off the trip by celebrating with a small dessert before heading back.
