Year 9 pupils from classes 9.1 and 9.2 stepped into the spellbinding world of Harry Potter on their English trip to the Warner Bros. Studios in Watford. This special visit linked directly to their fantasy writing unit and gave pupils the chance to immerse themselves in the art of storytelling and imagination.
The trip was even more exciting as it took place during the sold-out Dark Arts event. Pupils were treated to live performances from Death Eaters, making the magic of the films feel even more real. They especially enjoyed wandering through the famous Diagon Alley, marveling at the shops and sets, and were thrilled to come face-to-face with the mighty dragon.
One pupil said, “Seeing Diagon Alley was amazing, it really felt like being in the film.” Another added, “The dragon was incredible, and it gave me so many ideas for my own fantasy writing.”
The trip was buzzing with energy, and everyone returned inspired and full of ideas to bring back into their English work.
