Recently pupils in 8.1 class explored the different habitats of Colchester Zoo. The trip gave pupils the opportunity to see a wide variety of animal species while developing a deeper understanding of biology, ecosystems, and conservation.
Throughout the day, pupils observed animals such as elephants, tigers, and orangutans in their respective habitats, allowing them to see their adaptations and behaviours. This hands-on experience helped to reinforce key topics studied in the classroom and encouraged thoughtful discussion about how animals survive in different environments.

One pupil said ” I had a really nice day. I saw lots of different animals, some I have never seen before. I can’t believe how big elephants really are!”
