Christmas week at NRHS was a truly magical and memorable experience for pupils and staff alike. The school was beautifully decorated throughout, creating a festive atmosphere that could be felt in every corridor and classroom.
One of the highlights of the week was the Christmas Lunch, which pupils thoroughly enjoyed. It brought everyone together to celebrate, share laughter, and enjoy a special meal that marked the season in a warm and joyful way.
The Christmas Show was another standout moment of the week. Pupils performed a range of Christmas-themed songs, confidently showcasing their talents and spreading festive cheer. Their enthusiasm and hard work were evident, making the performances a proud moment for everyone involved.
Adding to the excitement, NRHS welcomed some very special visitors. Santa Claus made an appearance, delighting pupils across the school, alongside a surprise visit from the Grinch, which brought lots of laughter and festive fun.
As part of the celebrations, pupils also took part in festive trips and activities. Some pupils went to watch the classic Christmas film Home Alone 2, others enjoyed a performance of The Nutcracker, and another group had great fun ice skating. These experiences added even more excitement and helped make the week extra special.
Overall, Christmas Week at NRHS was filled with joy, celebration, and togetherness. It was a wonderful way to end the term and created lasting memories for our pupils.
One Y11 pupil said: ‘I love Christmas Week, after working hard for the mock exams, it is a great way to relax and wind down before we break up. I am really going to miss the way we celebrate Christmas – the trips, the alternative Christmas Lunch and the show bring everyone together.
