At New Rush Hall School, our ambassadors play a vital role in supporting the school community. The programme runs across both Primary and Secondary and ambassadors are chosen for demonstrating positive behaviour, strong attitudes to learning and commitment to the school’s ethos. In recognition of their efforts, ambassadors earn commendations and points for their contributions, as well as opportunities to take part in special reward trips.
To find out more about what it means to be an ambassador, Mr Thomas spoke with a one of our Lead Pupil Ambassadors, about his role and what being an ambassador means to him.
Mr. Thomas: Why did you want to become an ambassador?
Pupil: Because I want to help the school to be an even better place.
Mr. Thomas: How did you become an ambassador?
Pupil: By behaving well in lessons and asking if I could participate.
Mr. Thomas: Did you do anything special when you became an ambassador and how did it make you feel?
Pupil: Yes. I had a school trip with the school and I went home and told my parents, who were very pleased.
Mr. Thomas: What is the difference between a lead ambassador and a regular ambassador?
Pupil: You get paid twice as much but you are also expected to behave even better.
Mr. Thomas: How can other pupils become an ambassador?
Pupil: By behaving well in lessons and showing a good attitude to learning.
Our school ambassadors continue to make a difference every day by setting an example to other pupils, promoting positivity, respect and pride across the school.
