World Book Week

NRHS was filled with excitement and enthusiasm as we celebrated World Book Week in grand style! It was a truly memorable occasion, packed with engaging activities that inspired our pupils to embrace the joy of reading.

One of the highlights of the week was the visit from two incredible guest authors. They led inspiring workshops with our secondary pupils, sharing their experiences, creative processes, and valuable writing tips. Pupils had the unique opportunity to interact with professional writers, ask questions, and gain deeper insights into the world of storytelling.

Adding to the excitement was the highly anticipated Scholastic Book Fair. Pupils of all ages had the chance to browse through a wonderful selection of books and choose something new to take home. Every pupil in the school received a book, ensuring that they could all continue reading adventures beyond World Book Week.

The week culminated in a spectacular Book Character Dress-Up Day on Friday. The school was transformed into a vibrant world of literature as pupils and staff alike came dressed as their favourite book characters. From classic storybook heroes to modern-day icons, the creativity on display was truly impressive.

World Book Week was a huge success, bringing our school community together to celebrate the magic of reading. A big thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this event so special. We look forward to even more literary fun next year!
