NRHS mourns loss of pupil

Pupils and staff at New Rush Hall School are united in their grief at the tragic loss of one of our pupils, Amira Temani-Lewis, who sadly died in May.

This news comes amid the challenges of ‘lock-down’ that has prevented the school community from gathering in their grief.  There is a table of remembrance in place in the school and we are preparing a book of condolences for students and staff to record their memories of Amira, which we will present to her family.

A celebration of her life will be held when normal services resume and there are plans in place for a memorial to remember her by. Amira was a well-known member of the school community and will be much missed by everyone.

We recognise that the coming days and months will be difficult for us all but are determined to support each other and to honour Amira’s memory.  Please see the Care and Wellbeing section of our website if you or your child are finding this loss difficult to come to terms with.

We are truly thankful for the time we had together and will treasure our memories of Amira.  Our deepest condolences are with her family and friends at this time.
