Look at the wonderful Modroc poppies we created for our Remembrance Day display. Our poppies started as a wire structure. We used Modroc, which is the material that nurses use in hospital to create a cast for someone who has broken a bone. You start off with it dry and when you add water you can shape it around the wire. Once we had the poppy shape we wanted we left the Modroc to dry; our poppies dried overnight. The next day we were able to paint them.
