This academic year we have introduced ‘Themed Weeks’ where, as a school community, pupils will learn about festivals and celebrations within different cultures and communities.
This week we are celebrating Sukkot, a week-long celebration within the Jewish Community. Challah bread is being offered at lunch in the Dining Hall and within the lessons pupils will learn about how the Jews sought protection in the Sukkot as they spent years in the desert on their way to the ‘Promised Land’.
In their quest to reach the Promised Land the Jews displayed courage, determination, resilience and perseverance, four of the eight values of NRHS.
