A Spooktacular Trip to Cammas Hall

As part of our Autumn Club activities, pupils at NRHS enjoyed a fantastic trip to Cammas Hall for a day of pumpkin picking, spooky surprises and plenty of Halloween fun!

On arrival, pupils were greeted by pumpkins of all shapes and sizes, along with a range of exciting activities to explore. However, one of the biggest highlights of the day was undoubtedly the scare maze, which proved to be just the right mixture of frightening and fun!

As pupils made their way through the maze, they encountered a rather sinister doctor, helped to free Beetlejuice and even joined forces with a Ghostbuster to catch some ghosts. There were plenty of screams, laughter and surprises along the way, with pupils enjoying the experience so much that they wanted to go through the maze all over again!

Away from the spooky encounters, there was still plenty to keep everyone entertained. Pupils tested their aim using the slingshots and enjoyed racing around the pedal kart track. It was lovely to see everyone getting involved, trying different activities and making the most of their time together.

Of course, no visit to Cammas Hall would be complete without choosing a pumpkin! At the end of the day, pupils explored the pumpkin patch before selecting their very own pumpkins to take home. With so many different shapes and sizes to choose from, finding the perfect one was an adventure in itself.

One pupil was particularly pleased with his choice, proudly announcing, “I’ve found the perfect pumpkin!” He explained that he had never carved a pumpkin before and couldn’t wait to give it a go. His plan was to scoop out the inside, hopefully convince his parents to cook something delicious with it and then carefully carve his design. He was also looking forward to the final Autumn Club session on Thursday, when pupils would be making their own candles, with the hope of placing his finished candle inside his pumpkin.

The trip was a wonderful opportunity for pupils to enjoy new experiences, spend time with friends and make the most of the autumn season. From navigating the scare maze to choosing their pumpkins, there were plenty of moments of excitement and laughter throughout the day.

A fantastic day at Cammas Hall and plenty of happy memories to take home, along with a pumpkin or two!
