To celebrate the festive season, pupils enjoyed a special trip to the Odeon Lux Cinema for a Christmas movie treat. Last year, Key Stage 3 pupils visited the cinema to watch Home Alone 1, so choosing Home Alone 2 felt like a natural next step. Primary pupils watched The Grinch, which was carefully chosen by staff to match what pupils would enjoy most. Both groups were thrilled with their films and loved sharing the experience together.
Pupils were lucky enough to have their own private screens and were treated to snack packs that included popcorn, drinks and other treats. Sitting back in the cinema’s reclining chairs, pupils were able to fully relax and enjoy their favourite festive films. For many, it was a completely new experience and one they will remember for a long time.One pupil shared, “I’ve never been to a cinema like this before where I get to lay back and enjoy my favourite movie.”
Trips like this are an important part of school life at New Rush Hall. They give pupils the chance to unwind after a busy year of learning and remind everyone how important it is to celebrate achievements and enjoy time together. Visiting the cinema at Christmas has become a valued tradition and a lovely way to end the term on a high.
