Learning through film

KS3 and KS4 pupils were given the opportunity to go on a trip to the Cinema as part of the school’s Cultural Capital Programme. They were treated to a private viewing of a film, complete with popcorn, a drink and a snack. For many pupils, it was the first time they had visited a cinema, which had reclining chairs and they all felt really spoilt.

One pupil said, “It was good to take a day away from school so that we can relax. I’d give the experience 10 out of 10 and the movie a 7.”

Another pupil said, “I give the experience 10 out of 10 and the movie the same.”

The pupils really enjoyed the experience and all said that they would go back.
