NRHS was lucky enough to have Jamie Knight visit us to provide all of our pupils with a Freestyle Football Workshop. It was absolutely incredible! Pupils were mesmerised by all his skills and routine. They were taught a variety of different skills, practised and performed in front of their peers and some of the classes also arrange their own friendly competition. Our pupils are a competitive bunch of young people.
Jamie is currently one of the world’s best and most in-demand Professional Football Freestylers. He has travelled worldwide working with the most prominent global brands, comprising of the likes of Nike, Adidas & Red Bull. He has performed at some of the most prolific sports events such as at the 2017 UEFA Champions League Final in front of 80,000 people and a global audience of 200+ million and also an on-stage performance at the 2018 Laureus World Sports Awards, in front of the world’s best athletes, past and present.
His high-level freestyle performance, mixed with his reliability and consistency, has made him the number one choice for these huge events worldwide.
Jamie works on a regularly basis with professional footballers including the likes of Paul Scholes, Gary Neville, Roberto Carlos and Rio Ferdinand to name but a few.
One pupil said: ‘ It was great that he gave his time to come to a special needs school to show us things that we would never have had the opportunity to experience and teach us some great skills’.
Another pupil added: ‘I really enjoyed the session and Iearnt skills that I never knew I was capable of ‘.
