Excitement buzzed through the air as Year 7 pupils embarked on an unforgettable school trip to the STEM Pod in Whitechapel. The STEM Pod, nestled within the renowned Centre of the Cell at Queen Mary University, proved to be an enthralling and educational experience for the budding young minds.

The STEM Pod, a state-of-the-art immersive show, offered a unique blend of films, gaming, and learning, providing a hands-on exploration of the captivating world of science. As the pupils stepped into this futuristic learning environment, they were met with a plethora of interactive activities that made science come alive in an engaging and entertaining way.

One of the highlights of the trip was the “poo racer” game, where pupils found themselves immersed in a race against time while navigating the digestive system. Laughter echoed through the pod as they competed to understand the intricacies of the human body in a playful and unconventional manner.

After an engaging day of exploration, the pupils had the chance to wind down and share their newfound knowledge over a delightful meal at Nando’s.

One pupil said: ‘I really enjoyed the trip as it brought Science to life much better than a text book.’
