GCSE Results 2021

Our Year 11’s have shown many of the principles and values of the school whilst studying for their GCSE courses throughout these unprecedented of times caused by the pandemic. They have shown courage, determination and resilience, having to adjust to their learning going online when they couldn’t attend school or were isolating.

Grades for this year’s GCSE awards were awarded through teacher assessed grades following the Government’s announcement earlier this year that once again external exams were being cancelled due to the pandemic. These assessed grades were examined by the awarding exam boards.

This year’s Y11 cohort were entered for a record number of GCSE qualifications, with the highest number of 4+ grades being achieved than by any previous NRHS Y11 cohort.

All of our Y11’s received the grades required to continue onto their chosen Post-16 career pathway. Some are attending mainstream school 6th form, whilst others have chosen to attend further education colleges, start an apprenticeship or have entered the world of work.

They are a credit to themselves, their families, the whole of the school community and are role models to the pupils following in their footsteps.

I would like to thank all of our staff who have worked long, hard and tirelessly to ensure that they were supported in their endeavours. All the hard work has paid off and I am confident that this Y11 cohort is well prepared as they venture out into the wider world.
